About the event
The exhibition is accompanying the Lindenau-Förderpreis 2026, which will be awarded for the third time by the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg in autumn 2026.
The Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle, the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar each nominate two students for the award. The themes and techniques of the artworks are diverse, so visitors can look forward to fascinating insights into contemporary art. Using the media of painting, collage, sculpture, photography, performance, video and installation, these young artists explore themes such as identity, memory, artificial intelligence, traces and social norms.
A jury will select the winner of the Lindenau-Förderpreis 2026, which is endowed with 5,000 euros and a catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.
