Ist das Kunst oder kanns weg?

Collected from different sites and people in Leipzig, the items in the installation are signed and displayed within the context of the city's History Museum. Raising questions about the place of art in history museums, the meaning of collecting and displaying, and the relationship between institutions and spontaneous happening, the artist invites you to take part in the shaping of the installation and to take parts of the installation home with you. An untunable piano is also there for taking.




The work took place in the exhibition Beyond the L, curated by Julia Kurz and Angelika Waniek, as part of the exhibition “Kennzeichen L - eine Stadt stellt sich aus“ in the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig.
